Xmas song for the BBC Ouch disability web site’s pod cast,

past
I was a drummer musician from ‘81 to ‘95, in various
punk, indie rock, speed metal, and reggae bands. 1980-1981 A
Fear Of Sex, 1981-1982 North, 1982-1983 The
Reasonable Strollers, 1983-1991 Living In Texas, 1991-1993 Joyryde, 1992-1995 The
Grateful Dub
. Happy daze indeed, as I smoked half of the weed (if I was lucky and shit hash
if I wasn’t) in Europe, snorted my fair share of the marching powder, shagged
as many women as I could, and gave myself arthritis in one hand. Flippers and
drumming are difficult bedfellows. It was a great time, and I wouldn’t
change a thing..but then one day I woke up to realise I wanted more discipline
in the art that I did, with myself, wanted to talk about disability apart from
anything else, and so left mainstream ( in this case meaning non disabled) music,
and started rapping and speaking poetry politics over my grooves. I did 3 CD’s
of this, “Survival Of The Shittest”, “Perfectly
Deformed”, and “Genetically Modified...Just For
You” ( all of which are still available on www.PHOCOMEDIA.com)
before moving out of being only a musician.

IT, AND HELP MAKE MY CARRER BETTER!
So as you can see I still make music, just not solely for gigs
anymore. I really enjoyed writing all the music for “Thalidomide!!
A Musical”, and I would like to
do a DVD of music films, to expand my interests from “just” music,
to music films. One song I recently did was with Lizzie Emeh From Heart’N’Soul,
and I have enough home filmed footage to make a start with that. I could
use some help, like, an I Movie editor would be really good to work with.
future
I still write songs all the time, can’t stop. I dream of doing
another musical, and I’m interested in plays with specifically
written music. I would welcome any scoring commissions from others.
