He is a writer and an actor who regularly hosts and does acts for cabarets, chairs conferences, does key note and after dinner speaking, gives lectures on his work in artistic and disability framings, and can provide performance skills workshops for disabled people. He was a professional drummer for 16 years so can provide the back beat to your art too if required.

Beauty and the Beast
Is a collaboration (or should that be coll-aberration?) between Mat and the legendary New York performer Julie Atlas Muz. Lying somewhere between classic Theatre and Live Art, this reworking of the fairy tale classic has Internationally made the 100% sold out audiences laugh, cry, and give standing ovations. Due to premiere in New York in April, then be taken to another level next year in London, it has thrilled crowds in Liverpool, Zagreb, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Zurich.Read More
The Freak & The Showgirl
Is a new 70 minute adult cabaret show from Mat and Julie Atlas Muz, taking the genre to new heights, lows, mutants and ho’s. With striptease, songs, audience participation, 70’s pop, a ukelale, prosthetic arms, G-strings a plenty, and the ultimate American Dream violated by the degraded filth of their minds, this is a shockingly fun show, already banned in some venues, and is strictly for over 18’s.

Unarmed But Dangerous
This is perhaps the Worlds first “cripsploitation” film, starring Mat in the lead role as Jimmy Loveit, with Frank Harper (Football Factory, Name of the Father, Lock Stock), Faye Tozer (from the pop band Steps), and a bevy of bruisers and beauties.
Its a story of innocent Jimmy caught up in the horror of bent coppers, child sex worker traffickers, abduction, the threat to his family, and his brutal and bloody retribution. Read More

Charting the history of disability portrayal in media through the ages, with songs, jokes and sideshow celebrities, it is an irreverent funny rude look at how ridiculous it all is, especially Mat’s own career.
