past
I started being an
actor as my main profession in 1996, having come from a music background,
but my parents were/are ( Were = Dad, Richard Fraser, who died in ‘84.
Are = Mum, Paddy Glynn - Interested parties should contact Shepperd-Fox,
on 07957 624601, or email them on info@shepperd-fox.co.uk ) both actors and I’ve always been around the
theatre and drama. However, my school play audition didn’t go
well, and I was deterred from the profession, instead becoming a rock
drummer for 15 years. When I saw Europe’s leading all disabled
Theatre Co. Graeae Theatre’s (see links) seminal production of “UBU
ROI” in 1994 @ The Oval House Theatre ( see
links),
I knew I wanted to change and become the actor I’d always secretly
wanted to be. I joined and trained with Graeae, worked with them on
a forum theatre tour, then played Dr. Prentice in their 1997 production
of Jo Orton’s “What The Butler Saw”,
before moving on into sort of mainstream drama. I started developing
my own work, and to date have written and performed in “Sealboy:Freak”,
a one man show about freak shows and contemporary disabled performers,
another one man show called “From Freak To Clique” about
the not so changing face of disability portrayal throughout the ages,
and “Thalidomide!! A Musical” ( for more
details, including press, pics, and much much more, go to either http://www.thalidomide-a-musical.com OR www.nataliesteedproductions.co.uk/thalidomide ), a
two handed full on sicko comedy musical about the groovy pill that
made me what I am. Along the way I’ve
done various plays, dramas on TV, and even a feature film or too, as
well as developing a modest voice over career. Go to my full C.V. for
all the credits & details of previous work. ( Downloads)

Now as an actor I seek good acting work on stage, screen (big, small,
and online), and radio/pod casts. It is unfairly tough for a disabled
actor but it’s tough for all actors, and I do other things when
overly unemployed. For now I’m just writing and waiting for
work...
future
My new play “A Multitude OF Elvii” will
be performed as a co production between Farnham Maltings ( see
links),
and my own PHOCOMEDIA Productions.
Also, my New York connection
will come through and I’ll be in Bone Films ( see
links) “Love
Love & Love Again” , and I hope to be fabulously
employed as a jobbing actor for the rest of the year.
This is the plan anyway, but as we know, the best laid plans often........
